emacs is already installed. Can you try starting it by typing emacs? If you are facing issues let me know.

If you are looking for emacs tutorial then try something basic tutorial (may be like this How To Use the Emacs Editor in Linux | DigitalOcean ). I don’t know emacs I use vim :wink:

Thank you for your feedback.
Emacs is an editor. In my old days when I was a research student I used this editor.
But now when I typed $ emacs I received an error message. I think vi is much better.

I think you meant emacs without ‘$’.

Hmm, I can access emacs environment from my account. Yes, vi or vim is fine :slight_smile: If you still want to use emacs, please share screenshot of the error message. thanks!
