MYSQL Access Denied

Not able to login in MySQL. I am getting the following error :-
’ [abhishekga@server-1 ~]$mysql -u abhishekga -p
Enter password:
ERROR 1045 (28000): Access denied for user ‘abhishekga’@‘localhost’ (using password:
YES)

Please resolve it asap.

What happens when you type the command ‘mysql’ without any options?

this is the error i get by just typing mysql

**[abhishekga@server-1 ~]$mysql **
ERROR 1049 (42000): Unknown database 'db_abhishekga’

Dear Laks,

I am normally login like :- mysql -u ramjee -p

After that it showing below error .

Error 1045 (28000) : Access denied for user ‘ramjee’@’ localhost’ (using password : Yes)

Kindly do needful.

What happens when you simply type ‘mysql’ - You won’t need to pass user or password on webminal for mysql. It should work automagically :slight_smile:

I entered " $ mysql " only . Then it showing below error.

Error 1049 (42000) : Unknown database ‘db_name’ .

Kindly look into it.

Okay, can you again the same command ‘mysql’ - I restarted mysql service now.

Mysql not working when I give mysql
